Level Designations The L-S Math Department changed the level designation names of our courses for the 2017 - 2018 school year. We are working on … presentation of content paper - less Throughout the year, the Math Department will discuss the educational, ecological and economical implications of reducing the use of paper. Teachers will share techniques for student practice and assessment with less paper. Teachers will share teaching strategies utilizing reduced paper use.
We are working on … Shared pedagogy and materials Visiting Classes - Teachers will visit each other’s classes throughout the school year. Also, middle school teachers will visit high school classes and vice versa. This might involve visiting classes in other departments in the high school. Observations and insights from these visits will be shared at department meetings. The yearly middle/ high school meeting will include a discussion of our visits.

We are working on … Factors that Contribute to Student Success Talk About Stress - The Math Department will have conversations about student stress levels. These discussions will include homework levels, grades, electronic access to grades, fostering resilience and other topics.
We are looking forward to ..... increasing the vibrancy and accessibility of the math computer lab more art around the department area new classes
