HOW TO ESCAPE THE JUDGMENT! THE RECIPE FOR SALVATION thewordandtheway.net
THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. (Rev 20:4-5) Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Messiah, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. And this we will do, if God permits. (Heb 6:1-3) thewordandtheway.net
DEATH IS SLEEP "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.” (Joh 5:28 -29) "Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.” (Dan 12:1 -2) thewordandtheway.net
THE FIRST RESURRECTION Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Messiah and will reign with Him for a thousand years. (Rev 20:6) thewordandtheway.net
STEP 1: BELIEVE THAT YESHUA IS THE MESSIAH And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. (1Jn 5:11-12) thewordandtheway.net
STEP 2: REPENT "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent , because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead." (Act 17:30-31) thewordandtheway.net
STILL STEP 2: REPENT FROM WHAT? Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. (1Jn 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. (1Jn 3:4 KJV) thewordandtheway.net
STEP 3: CONTINUE IN THE FAITH After they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God." (Act 14:21-22) thewordandtheway.net
