  2. I’m born in 1940. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy – major – Pedagogy with History of Arts. The cartoon was my interest from my early childhood but I began to be active in 1969. In former Yugoslavia I was a regular contributor in “Pavliha”- Ljubljana, “Borba”, “Expres-Politika” and “Jez”- Belgrade, “Oslobodjenje”- Sarajevo and many others. I’m one of the founders of the Association of the cartoonists of the Republic of Macedonia and its first secretary since 1981, initiator and organizer of the first Macedonian exhibitions abroad- Legnitza- Poland 1980. I also had my own show in Amsterdam 1984, Trento 1989, in Skopje and some other towns in Macedonia. I’m author of the book of cartoons “Horns” in 1977. In 1990 the festival “Andromeda” in Trento – Italy included me in the choice of several authors from the world for the exhibition throughout Italy, entitled as “Apartheid” for which I published a book. My cartoons are represented in many cartoon museums in the world such as: Tolentino, Trento, Teheran, Gabrovo, Berlin, Istambul, Mexico, Warshaw, Montreal, Rio de Janeiro and others. I’m illustrator of several textbooks for primary and secondary education in the Republic of Macedonia. The festival Knoke in Belgium, many times chose my cartoons for calendars and other advertising materials. I was regular collaborator for the well known humorous and satirical magazine “Mebeshpalter” in Swizerland and regular collaborator and author of the daily cartoon “Black on White in Colour” of the most circular newspaper in that time in Macedonia - “Vecher”. At present I’m regular collaborator for the satirical magazine “Osten” – Skopje and the daily newspaper “Dnevnik”. I live and work in Skopje. My address is: Jordan Pop-Iliev ul.
