  4. ORS 506.720 “ The Commission shall by rule in January of each year establish the average market value for each species of food fish for the year.”

  5.  These market values reflect the last available year’s average prices ($ per lb) as reported by Oregon commercial fish dealers via ODFW fish tickets.  There were generally only minor adjustments to previous year’s market valuations, as shown in the revised Attachment 3.  Columbia River salmon and steelhead prices are not included in the schedule; damages are explicitly defined as $125 per fish in the statute.

  6. ODFW staff recommends to adopt the revised Schedule of Damages for Commercial Fishing Violations, as shown in attachment 3.
