An interesting aspect of the treaty with Iran are the withholding tax rates, with dividend payments taxed with 7.5 % of the gross amount and interest and royalty payments taxed with a maximum 5 % rate . Worth noting is the exemption of a tax on interests paid to state, municipal and/or other government institutions.
