Iola Missionary Baptist Church
Opening Prayer
Guide me, O thou great Jehovah, Pilgrim through this barren land. I am weak, but Thou art mighty; Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more; Feed me till I want no more.
Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing stream doth flow; Let the fire and cloudy pillar lead me all my journey through.
Strong deliverer, Strong deliverer, Be thou still my strength and shield; Be thou still my strength and shield.
When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Bear me thro’ the swelling current, Land me safe on Canaan's side.
Songs of praises, Songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee; I will ever give to Thee.
Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood; Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood. There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working pow’r In the blood of the lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the lamb.
Would you be free from your passion and pride? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood; Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide;
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood. There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working pow’r In the blood of the lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the lamb.
Would you do service for Jesus your King? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood; Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood. There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working pow’r In the blood of the lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the lamb.
Greeting One Another
There is a place of quiet rest, Near to the heart of God. A place where sin cannot molest, Near to the heart of God.
O Jesus, blest Redeemer, Sent from the heart of God, Hold us who wait before Thee Near to the heart of God.
There is a place of comfort sweet, Near to the heart of God. A place where we our Savior meet, Near to the heart of God.
O Jesus, blest Redeemer, Sent from the heart of God, Hold us who wait before Thee Near to the heart of God.
There is a place of full release, Near to the heart of God. A place where all is joy and peace, Near to the heart of God.
O Jesus, blest Redeemer, Sent from the heart of God, Hold us who wait before Thee Near to the heart of God.
Congregational Prayer
Heavenly Father, Come quiet our hearts from life’s distractions. Settle down upon us. Draw near to us as we draw near to you. You, Oh Lord, are the Creator of all things. You hold all things together.
You are the Giver of life. Every good and perfect gift comes from You. You give us everything we need for life and godliness. You are preparing a place for us to be with You forever.
Our words are not adequate to express how our hearts have changed since we first started loving You. You’ve made all the difference in our lives. We love you. We praise you and give you thanks for your unending love.
There isn’t anything in us or about us that You don’t completely understand. You know us completely. And so if we’re honest with You, You know that we need to admit our weaknesses, asking You for help and strength and courage. We can’t rescue ourselves.
You’re our only hope. Amen
In times like these you need a Savior, In times like these you need an anchor.
Be very sure, Be very sure. Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.
This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the One. This Rock is Jesus, The only One!
Be very sure, Be very sure. Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!
In times like these you need a Bible. In times like these, O be not idle.
Be very sure, Be very sure. Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.
This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the One. This Rock is Jesus, The only One!
Be very sure, Be very sure. Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!
In times like these I have a Savior, In times like these I have an anchor.
I’m very sure, I’m very sure. My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.
This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the One. This Rock is Jesus, The only One!
I’m very sure, I’m very sure. My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

David Weston
I love to tell the story Of unseen things above, Of Jesus and His glory, Of Jesus and His love;
I love to tell the story Because I know ‘tis true; It satisfies my longings As nothing else can do.
I love to tell the story, ‘Twill be my theme in glory To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, Tis pleasant to repeat, What seems each time I tell it More wonderfully sweet;
I love to tell the story, For some have never heard, The message of salvation, From God’s own Holy Word.
I love to tell the story, ‘Twill be my theme in glory To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story; For those who know it best Seem hungering and thirsting To hear it, like the rest
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song, ‘Twill be the old, old story That I have loved so long.
I love to tell the story, ‘Twill be my theme in glory To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.
