  3. International Students Texas A&M University has defined an “international student” to be anyone who is not a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident.

  4. Health Insurance • All international students required to maintain health insurance while enrolled at Texas A&M University • Dependents of students on J1 visas are required to maintain health insurance • Students are automatically enrolled in and billed for the TAMU System approved student health insurance plan unless they apply for and are granted a waiver. • Waivers granted only for employer-provided group coverage or sponsor-required coverage if it meets the requirements. • Students can email questions about health insurance to healthinsurance@tamu.edu.

  6. ISSIS • International Student Services Information System – On-line system for students to submit applications to ISS – Academic Advisors & Graduate Advisors will complete ISS forms on-line – Department Reviewer

  8. Processes and Immigration Status • OGAPS – Change of Major or Degree Level – CPT/OPT • Receiving Financial Aid or Scholarships • Hiring an International Student
