Who are they ? We define migrants as people who live in a country other than their own, by choice or by obligation A refugee is a person fleeing his country for fear of persecution because of his origin, religion, political opinions…
Where are they from ? - Syrian - Afghanistan - Iraq - Nigerian - Somalia - etc...

A dangerous journey - These people embark on a dangerous and long journey -14,500 dead people in the Mediterranean in three years time.
The European Union in the face of migrants Since 2015, Europe has faced massive migratory movements mainly due to wars in the Middle East. Europe is unable to adopt a common policy to help all these people. Some countries such as Sweden, Germany welcome many people, others build walls or barriers.
The attitude of France France has been a land of welcome and immigration for a long time. Yet, it is now adopting a very uninviting attitude. In terms of percentage of its population, it only ranks in the 16th position in Europe for the number of people welcomed.
The application of asylum right An asylum seeker: in France any foreigner can seek protection against persecution in his country. The procedure is currently being amended by a bill highly criticized by all the humanitarian associations

How to integrate them ?
For our high-school open day We made a map with the different countries of the students and adults in the school, accompanied by article 1 of the Declaration of Human Rights translated in the different languages of the foreign persons .

Students have worked in partnership with a cultural association of Mont de Marsan and a professional graphic designer.
