JIT and Housing • “People including those with disabilities, long term conditions, or who are frail are able to live as far as reasonably practical independently at home or in a homely setting” • JIT has 6 priorities including Place,Home and Community • JIT has a broad housing programme inc Dementia, delayed discharge , adaptations, technology) • JIT sees engagement and contribution of housing essential to meet national health and wellbeing outcomes • JIT has sponsored work to assist RSLs and housing sector to engage • 1st Phase of work commissioned to get housing up to speed • 4 specialists working across the sector 5 JIT is a strategic improvement partnership between the Scottish Government, NHSScotland, COSLA and the Third, Independent and Housing Sectors

Planning for the Future • Strategic Plan must be produced by March 2016 • Legal requirement to involve key stakeholders • How have TSIs been involved to date? • Locality planning is one of the keys • Arrangements for each locality must be set out separately • Locality planning must be represented on SPG. • Strategic Planning Group(SPG) must include non commercial/commercial providers of care 8 JIT is a strategic improvement partnership between the Scottish Government, NHSScotland, COSLA and the Third, Independent and Housing Sectors
