What to buy? • Brands like “First Price” at Kiwi are the cheapest options • Certain frozen items like fish and berries are much cheaper • Some canned items like corn or tuna are so cheap • Meat, chicken and pork are so expensive, so reduce your meat intake or watch out for TILBUD!
Eating in campus • Canteen in Kjolv Egeland Hus and Hagbart Line Huset have a “Daily Menu” for 70NoK that includes a hot meal • Cafeterias are usually expensive – packed Lunches and Thermos. Remember! • Get your own coffee mug, get a refill at 15NoK cheaper than the usual – save money and paper! • HOME MADE FOOD IS THE BEST MADE FOOD!
Some more tips • Don’t dare take a taxi – pay us instead! • Buy monthly bus card if you use the bus more than 8 times a month • Night buses are included in student bus card • Avoid the Flybussen to the airport • Find a cheap cabin if you wish to go hiking • Student discount – Everywhere, Anywhere! • Use WhatsApp, Skype or Facebook for calling abroad
