INFRASTRUCTURE Results Council: • Led by nursing leader and support services leader • Populated with “Results Council” groups including a labor representative, physician leaders, board member, executive staff, front line staff. • Purpose was to understand concepts from the book/Chapter reviews and discussions • Evolution of Results Council
INFRASTRUCTURE Lessons Learned: • Insist that the actual UPC chair does the report out (early on our managers often did the report out) • Be clear with what the role of the Executive Sponsor is • Be careful to not confuse communication with education • Make attendance expectations very clear • Allow UPC Chairs and/or Subcommittee Chairs to rotate from leadership role • Focus on outcomes…stay consistent with measuring whether a patient was assigned a primary nurse and did they know it
