IGFSA: Background, purpose and scope • IGFSA: set up in 2014 as a non-profit Association incorporated in Switzerland. • Purpose: “to promote and support the global IGF as well as the national and regional IGF initiatives” . • Scope : • “ provide funds to maintain and strengthen the IGF Secretariat and national and regional IGF initiatives; • seek and promote exchange and collaboration with national and regional IGF initiatives; identify new sources of funding and facilitate funding of the IGF; • • make contributions to the IGF Trust Fund administered by the United Nations .”

IGFSA activities so far IGFSA and the UN: • Recognized by the UN as a contributor to the IGF Trust Fund. • IGFSA contributions to the IGF Trust Fund so far: USD 260,000. IGFSA and the NRIs: • Total contributions so far: USD 210,000.
