Segment 2 • Project Details: • US 36 to 120 th Ave • $66M Construction Budget • Converted inside shoulder to Toll Express Lane in each direction • Built new concrete soundwalls and replaced existing wooden fences • Lighting and ITS devices installed • Lowered I-25 grade at 88 th Ave
Segment 2 • Key Dates: • Construction began October 2013 • Toll Express lane opened March 2016 • Toll Commencement in July 2016 • Soundwall Completion September 2016 • Active Traffic Management System Fall 2016
Segment 3 • Project Details: • 120 th Avenue to Northwest Parkway/E470 • $78M Construction Budget • Widen I-25 to accommodate a Toll Express Lane in each direction • Install new concrete soundwalls and replace existing wooden sound fences • Install ITS devices • Replace I-25 bridge over Bull Canal with enclosed Concrete Box Culvert
Segment 3 • Key Dates: • Construction Began July 2016 • Bull Canal Replacement Winter 2016 • Anticipated completion Fall 2018 • Toll Commencement Spring 2019
I-25 Express Lanes • Purpose/Benefits: • Improves mobility for all travelers • Provides travel time savings • Give travelers viable transportation choices • Improve mobility for freight carriers, businesses, and emerging energy industries • Provides additional capacity while minimizing long- term operating and maintenance costs • Generates a new reliable revenue stream that offsets the cost of operations and maintenance • Provides reliable connection from Downtown to development growth around SH 7
