  6. STUDENTS WILL BE ASSIGNED TO HUDSON ELEMENTARY TEACHERS Hudson teachers in grades K-5 will be assigned students 01 A Day in choosing the Virtual Learning Option. SCHEDULE the Life Students will meet with their virtual teacher daily with the primary focus on Reading, Writing, Phonics, and Mathematics and science and social studies . K-5 02 Google Classroom will be utilized. Students will follow the same pacing and content as their "Option 1" peers. Students ART, MUSIC, PHYSICAL EDUCATION The frequency and the method of instruction of these classes will depend on the scale of students enrolled in the 03 Virtual Option.

APEX Online provider of content based on Ohio Learning Content Standards Used in Hudson as an option for summer health, students who cannot "fit" a class into their schedules, and offered for students who cannot attend school Used in Hudson for ten years Broad range of courses, including AP and intervention programming Counselors will help to schedule students into classes that reflect current courses Potential college D1 and D2 athletes will want to work with school counselor for HS credit courses

  9. S TUDENTS WILL UTILIZE APEX COURSES AND BE ASSIGNED A A Day in TEACHER AND A MS TEAM . Students will work with their school counselor to "match" 01 their current schedule with APEX online course offerings. the Life SCHEDULE Students will work independently on their course work Middle through APEX. Students will be assigned to a MS team. The teachers on the team will meet synchronously to 02 School monitor progress and check in with students weekly. These Zoom sessions are required. Students ART, MUSIC, PHYSICAL EDUCATION The frequency and the method of instruction for these 03 classes will depend on the scale of students enrolled in the Virtual Option.

  12. STUDENTS WILL UTILIZE APEX COURSES AND BE ASSIGNED TO A 01 TEACHER. Students will work with their school counselor to "match" A Day in their current schedule with APEX online course offerings. SCHEDULE the Life Students will work independently on their course work through APEX. Students will be assigned to a HS teacher. The math lab and writing lab will be available to students High School through appointment. A HS teacher will meet 02 synchronously to monitor progress and check in with students weekly. These Zoom sessions are required. Student ELECTIVES APEX will have elective offerings. We are in the process of determining how we can best have all students access 03 electives. More information will be provided for these classes will depend on the scale of students enrolled in the Virtual Option.

LEARNING PLANS Case managers will work with families on personalized 01 learning plan based on the individual student and his/her Special specialized instruction Education & SCHEDULE Elementary students will follow the general education Related schedule. Specialized instruction and related services will be scheduled within the "school day" remotely. 02 MS and HS students are self-paced. Services SPECIALIZED INSTRUCTION Elementary students will be assigned an intervention specialists and a general education teacher. MS students will be assigned a case manager for 03 specialized instruction and be assigned to one of the MS teams. HS students will be assigned an intervention specialist for specialized instruction.

Gifted Education Grades 3-5- students in Tier I services (Enriched Language Arts) will have scheduled Zoom session(s) with a Gifted Intervention Specialist Grades 3-5- students in Tier II and Tier III will have differentiated activities and assignments Math acceleration and placement Enriched Language Arts for grades 6-8 is not available in VLO

Unified Arts, World Languages, Electives, and Extracurriculars We are continuing to work out the logistics of art, music, and physical education and other electives Specialized courses at the HS cannot be replicated in the VLO Students in VLO can participate in athletics, extracurriculars, and other after school functions in accordance with the same eligibility and health guidelines required for the all students in our district

  18. VLO Information All students in the Hudson Virtual Learning Option are enrolled in Hudson City Schools Grades will "count" for report cards, HS credit, and towards GPA Scheduled Zoom sessions are mandatory and will count as part of attendance The Code of Conduct applies to all students enrolled in Virtual Learning CCP classes at the local college campuses are still applicable and will follow university guidelines Pace in MS/HS course content will be aligned to the greatest extent as possible

  19. VLO Information Technology- Students in grades K-5 will be issued a Chromebook and students in grades 6-12 will have iPads Supplies-Students in grades K-5 will be provided curriculum resources to support math and language arts Students in grades 6-12 will need a calculator

  20. Registration Complete the registration form no later than August 7th at 5:00 p.m. Grades 6-12 Semester I- ends January 14, 2021 Grades 6-12 Semester II-ends June 9, 2021 Grades K-5 Trimester I ends November 24, 2020 Grades K-5 Trimester II ends March 8, 2021 Grades K-5 Trimester III ends June 9, 2021

  21. Attendance All students attending Hudson Virtual Learning Program will remain enrolled in Hudson City Schools. Attendance in K-5 will be taken via Zoom sessions Attendance for 6-12 will be monitored by work completion and Zoom sessions

  22. Commitment Families must register by August 7th at 5:00 p.m. Movement between options 1 and 2 will not be permitted after August 7th
