Home Care Reforms The Increasing Choice in Home Care was announced in the 2015-16 Budget and commenced on 27 February 2017 The home care package will follow the consumer Consistent national approach to prioritising access to home care Reduce red tape and regulation for providers

What we are hearing from advocates Home Care providers are choosing to set a $0 exit amount Consumers notified of a reduction in administration and case management charges made to their home care package budget Consumers told to agree to changes to their home care agreement without consultation Large deficits appearing on the consumer’s monthly statement, or the balance of unspent funds each month not rolling over to the next month
