Harvey Jones Channel Improvements Project • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) – The SWPPP was written to cover both the sedimentation basin excavation and the concrete removal and replacement – The successful bidder will assume maintenance of the SWPPP upon mobilization – Sediment pond excavation contractor will be complete with that element of the project by May 10, 2014 10
Harvey Jones Channel Improvements Project • Bid Schedule – Last day to submit written questions is Wednesday, April 16 by 5:00 PM • Submit all questions via e-mail to dcasaus@sscafca.com – SSCAFCA will post responses to written questions on web page by Friday, April 18 by 5:00 PM – Bids are due to SSCAFCA by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22. Public bid opening shortly after 3:00 PM. 11
Harvey Jones Channel Improvements Project • Response to Questions vs. Addenda – SSCAFCA may receive questions not meriting an official Addenda (e.g. bid process questions). SSCAFCA may issue a “Response to Questions” document that will be posted to our website to answer those questions. These DO NOT need to be acknowledged on the bid form. – Addenda will be separate documents (aside from the “Response to Questions” document) posted on our website. Addenda will be clearly labeled and MUST be acknowledged on the bid form. – It is the responsibility of the bidder to be familiar with all documents posted on the website for this bid. 12/12/2012 12
Harvey Jones Channel Improvements Project • Project Schedule: – SSCAFCA will determine the lowest responsive bidder by Thursday, April 24 – SSCAFCA will contact the lowest responsive bidder by Thursday, April 24 and begin the contracting process – Upon completion of the contracting process and issuance of notice to proceed, contractor will have until June 15, 2014 to achieve final completion. • Extensions MAY be granted depending on weather forecast • Why this last condition? 13
