What is Geology Club?  A welcoming community of students passionate about furthering their understanding of Geology  A club focused on creating events designed to strengthen the bond between said students  Students are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and expand their horizons  Run by a dedicated group of executives

GeoClub Camping Trip  Similar to 3 rd Year Structural Geology field course  Upper years share knowledge  Real Life examples of geological structures  Practice with geological tools in field  Field Experience  Community Building  For 2017: Rock Point Provincial Park  Focus on Carbonate Geology, Sedimentary Structures and Features

Camping Trip Itinerary  Rock Point  Sits upon Carbonate sedimentary layers  Several Different glacial facies and environments present  Abundance of fossils from the Devonian period (~350Mya)  Stronger Environmental and Soft Rock focus for this year’s trip  Team and Community Building Events  Swimming and water-games at beach  Star gazing and constellation identification

PDAC  Prospect and Developers Association of Canada  Major Marketing and Business Event for companies around the world that have geological ties  Over 22,000 people from 125 countries  Students:  Investigate Job Market  Practice Social Skills in a formal business environment  Gain ties with Alumni and other Earth Science Students  SIMEW, Student Luncheon designed to help Geoscience Students

  8. PDAC Breakdown  Main Cost – Hosting  Hi-Toronto Hostel  Clean and Well Maintained; have used for the passed two years  $40/night per person – 15 – 20 people expected to come PDAC Item Cost Hostel Fee $2,700.00 CPF -$300.00 Total $2,400.00
