  2. Welcome Breakfast S Friends of Pacific commenced 2019 by hosting a well-attended Welcome Breakfast in the Music Courtyard. It was a wonderful way to round off the first week and a chance for students and parents to interact while sampling an array of delicious breakfast items served by our College leaders. Thank you to the amazing hospitality team and student leaders who supported the event.

  3. Disco Support S In March this year, we were transported back to the 80’s with the Neon Disco. Students, staff and parents all contributed to ensure the event was a term highlight and we particularly thank DJ Brendan West and his crew for their enthusiasm and leadership of our young people. Thank you to the many helpers who cooked and served on the BBQ, providing much needed sustenance throughout the evening.

  8. Blockbuster Trivia Night

  9. Blockbuster Trivia Night Like the Star Wars trilogy all rolled into one, the Pacific Blockbuster Trivia Night S proved to be EPIC in length and laughter. We sincerely thank all who attended and ensured the event was a Titanic success. As Rapunzel said in Disney's Tangled, "Venture outside your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it." The effort that went into the planning of team tables, costumes, playing the S games and of course, answering the trivia was absolutely heart-warming. And, with the fabulous Frank and Louis providing the tunes, we all appreciated the momentous community gathering. Of course, the night would not have been possible without the behind-the-scenes work from numerous FoP members as well as Mrs Leah Croke, Mrs Rowena Marshall, our magnificent MC, Mr Russell Ousley, Poison Ivy Penny, who coordinated the games and Liam Russell on the audio/visuals. We congratulate the marvelous Pastoral Heroes on their triumphant trivia success, as well as the teams, Silver Sequels (2 nd ), The Divas and Dukes of Dollingwood (3 rd ) and Toy Story, who received the Encouragement Award. The Royal Tenenbaums were named the best-dressed team and Shaken, Not Stirred scored the award for best table decorations.

  17. Event Volunteers S In September, twenty-two volunteers from Pacific supported athletes from across the globe at IRONMAN 70.3. It was fantastic to have a broad range of students, parents and staff from across our community involved. For our efforts, Friends of Pacific received a donation. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, and to Mrs Allyson Sarvari for her leadership and organisation of our team. We look forward to continued involvement with the event in the future. S Friends of Pacific would also like to acknowledge the tremendous sporting spirit on display from students, parents and staff whilst volunteering at the All Schools Triathlon in October and the Noosa Triathlon in November. We are thankful for the efforts of all who helped from Pacific. A huge thank you to Mrs Allyson Sarvari who again coordinated the volunteers for the event. As with the previous Ironman event, Pacific will receive a donation for every volunteer we provided, which will help us raise further funds for the installation of additional water coolers at the College.

  21. Woolworths Earn and Learn Promotion S The Woolworths Earn and Learn promotion was once again coordinated by FoP this year, with students and families collecting 49 020 stickers - well exceeding our previous effort by 15 000 stickers. S The amazing support enabled Pacific to gain valuable equipment and supplies from Woolworths and we thank everyone who participated in the program.

  22. Fundraising with purpose S FoP fundraising efforts this year will contribute towards the installation of valued water refill and cooler stations at the College. Additionally, support of the Containers for Change recycling program will enable further funds to be directed towards the securing of water stations.

  23. Fundraising with purpose S After students identified the need for further chilled water refill stations at the College, Friends of Pacific and the Year 5 Champions for Change worked in collaboration throughout the year to fundraise. We now have two additional water refill stations installed – one next to the Year 4 block and another near the Gym. We thank Mrs Lu Pollard and the Champions for Change team for working hard with their Containers for Change program and promoting sustainable practices within our College community.

  24. Pacific Together S During the year, Friends of Pacific, through the pastoral care arm of Pacific Together, helped a number of families going through tough times. This support included meals, groceries and uniforms. S We also worked with Pacific FC to collect for the Salvation Army and their Winter Appeal.
