How we’re Building plus construction Challenges Key Quantities Earthworks Strategy Key locations and challenges
Key Quantities Earthworks Total – 130,000m3 Sheet Piling Total – 1670m CFA Piling – 280no RC Walls – 1690m Flood Gates – 14no Glass Flood Panels – 130m Demountable Flood Panels – 95m
Key Quantities Earthwork Strategy • Ensure fill meets engineering requirements, advanced trial holes / testing. • No material moved off site. • Control of high value core fill material. • Programming to take advantage of summer months where possible given other constraints. • Minimise haul distances and vehicular movements.
