PA Committee Eurociett Board Strategic Session – Feb. 2015 26 February 2015 Relationship with trade unions: • Country presentations on Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Guest speaker Renate Hornung Draus (BDA/BusinessEurope) • New Strategy towards trade unions: Focus on the fact that labour market flexibility will continue, focus on issues to be solved (social rights, informality, business and human rights, transitions. Aim to turn around trade union messages into positive story • Implement PA/PR campaign on the findings of the new SSD research, joint event, joint declaration • To prepare an info-graphic on bi-partite funds, illustrating the money invested, on the use of open-ended contracts and on the satisfaction of agency workers PrES and business services • Aim is to broaden the range of HR services represented by Eurociett, broader scope will increase the weight and improve the image of the industry • Contacts to be established with search and selection, outplacement, welfare to work and pay-rolling 5

PA Committee Work Mobility: Update and discussion points 26 February 2015 Update • Work Mobility Package: EU Commission Work Mobility Package announced for second half 2015: Three main elements: Benefits of mobility, „Targeted review“ of the Posting of Workers, coordination of social security • Posting of Workers: Eurociett participated in Expert Group on the transposition of the enforcement Directive (26 February) • EURES Reform: Discussions in the EP are progressing, Report of MEP Heinz Becker to be adopted in March 2015. Key discussion points: Differentiation of EURES Members and Partners, range of services, accreditation Eurociett Actions • Work Mobility Package: Topic addressed during meeting with Inge Bernaers, cabinet Thyssen, Position Paper/input paper drafted, further meetings with Commission officials to follow • EURES Reform: Proposals for amendments submitted to MEPs based on agreed Eurociett Position, close monitoring of EP debate (701 amendments tabled in the EP Employment Committee), several meetings with influential MEPs, networking with EUROCHAMBRES and contribution to EUROCHAMBRES event Discussion points • Discussion and approval of work mobility paper • Eurociett position on coordination of social security (?) 12
