  2. HIGH PATRONAGES AND SUPPORT The #ErasmusDays benefit from the European Commission’s high patronage and the support of Commissioner Tibor Navracsics who will take part in this year’s edition. At the same time, the #UEandME campaign is informing the youth on their mobility, training, rights, environnemental and digital opportunities. With the high patronage of Mr Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament , the #ErasmusDays are considered to be a way of mobilisation for European Youth in the 2019 elections and to involve the 571 Members of the European Parliament. In the frame of the upcoming elections, the European Parliament has started building a community of supporters for the cause of voting, for which the dedicated platform is www.thistimeimvoting.eu. Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic had granted its high patronage to the #ErasmusDays in France for the 2017 edition and has renewed it for this year’s edition. 23 countries , 32 national agencies and EPALE National Support Services are involved: 2

  3. #ERASMUSDAYS 2018 2018 is an important year for the mobilisation of civil society and those involved in education and training in Europe. The success of the first edition of the #ErasmusDays in 2017 (655 events, 11 countries, 324 cities and 52 million people reached through social media) has led to reschedule this European festival based on the Erasmus brand on Friday 12 th of October and Saturday 13 th of October 2018. The very simple idea is to communicate on the Erasmus brand and to disseminate Erasmus + projects results over two specific days in order to be visible by citizens, professionals, the media and policy makers and in accordance with two possible ways: - all the Erasmus + programme players (educational and training institutions, companies, research centres, chambers of trade, employment agencies, organisations and NGOs, etc.) are invited to showcase the impact of their projects. Each institution is free to organise any kind of event , including seminars, partner meetings, photo exhibitions, concerts, radio shows, conferences, hackathons, digital activities… The events will be registered and visible on www.erasmusdays.eu; - the nine million former beneficiaries and the current citizen beneficiaries (school children and teenagers, students, apprentices, teachers and instructors, youth actors) are invited to share their Erasmus + stories on social networks with the hashtag #ErasmusDays along with civil society representatives (European organizations, parents associations, etc.) that will be demonstrating their pride in being European and their commitment to Europe. 2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage . It is the perfect opportunity to specifically involve cultural players. With 26 countries involved in the citizens’ consultations on Europe , the #ErasmusDays represent a high point for the organisation of debates on Europe. Ahead of the European elections of May 2019, these public consultations can be organized on 12th and 13th of October for a stronger impact. The Time to Move campaign encourages Eurodesk centres to organise information events on European mobility towards young people throughout the whole month of October. These events can thus benefit from a double visibility and a double impact when organized on the #ErasmusDays dates. We hope #ErasmusDays will expand throughout the whole of Europe and beyond, to the 201 countries eligible for the Erasmus+ programme. While the next Erasmus + programme is debated, the #ErasmusDays will showcase the 3

  4. European impact in the territories thanks to success stories and testimonies. Let’s tell the world how proud we are to be European , united in diversity. I. FRENCH NATIONAL AGENCY SUPPORT Universities, schools, associations or any stakeholder organising an #ErasmusDays event can register their event on www.erasmusdays.eu. As the French Erasmus + Agency, we provide a very simple support to our stakeholders: 1. A digital kit which can be downloaded on www.erasmusdays.eu ; containing a communication guide, logos, examples of press releases, etc. 2. A Physical communication kit containing light documents (stickers, Erasmus + leaflets, balloons, European flags) that will be sent at the end of September. NATIONAL ERASMUS + AGENCIES IN EUROPE The #ErasmusDays is a flexible event , tailored to each national agency and each Erasmus + player. The national Erasmus + agencies can contribute to this bottom-up event , according to: - their specific priorities , as each agency may prioritise an issue or a sector (for example, employability or the school sector) - the issues of their Erasmus + project players , as each organisation is free to organise an event which will best showcase its project. Several actions linked with Erasmus + will showcase European competences in the field of guidance (EUROGUIDANCE), recognition of qualifications (EUROPASS, ECVET), adult education (EPALE) during the #ErasmusDays. A common digital exhibition is launched with all EPALE‘s NSS 1 . So far, the EPALE’s NSS of United Kingdom, Germany, the Czech Republic, France, Malta, Latvia, Cyprus, Finland, Malta, Croatia, Poland and Slovenia are taking part in this exhibition. The website www.erasmusdays.eu enables #ErasmusDays organisers in every country to register their event. The registration process on the website is available in French and in English. Project players are able to register their event in the European language(s) of their choice. Inter-agencies work and coordination will be conducted during two dates: from the 14 th until 22th of June, our French agency will meet the national agencies of Croatia, the Czech - Republic, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Romania and Turkey in order to engage a close collaboration on this event and on the European Year of Cultural Heritage ; - a TCA impact event in Palermo from 26 th and 28 th September will establish a second moment of coordination on the #ErasmusDays 2018. 1 The #ErasmusDays in 2017 had experimented such collaboration between NSS : https://ec.europa.eu/epale/en/blog/these-organisations-work-adult-education-france-and-poland-part-2 4
