Business Improvement Techniques Training: NVQ Level 2 Requirements and Expectations 2 hour formal training sessions given by STST Subject Matter Experts: Basic Introduction to concepts Unit 01: Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organizational Safety Requirements Unit 02: Contributing to effective team working Unit 03: Contributing to the application of Workplace Organization techniques Unit 04: Contributing to the application of Continuous Improvement techniques (Kaizen) Unit 05: Contributing to the development of Visual Management System Unit 10: Contribute to the application of Problem Solving techniques (Seagate 8D training) Learning will ultimately be through on-the-job training Each trainee creates a personal knowledge portfolio which demonstrate evidence of expertise in all aspects of the syllabus Participate in a Project / Business Improvement All of the above internally validated by Internal Assessors and random sample validation by External Assessor (Engineering Training Council) Seagate Confidential
Business Improvement Techniques Course Modules NVQ Level 3 Requirements and Expectations Units: Unit 01: Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organizational Safety Requirements Unit 02: Leading Effective Teams Unit 03: Applying Workplace Organization Techniques Unit 04: Applying Continuous Improvement Techniques (Kaizen) Unit 05: Developing Visual Management System Unit 06: Creating Flexible Production and Manpower Systems Unit 07: Carrying Out Problem Solving Activities (include Seagate 8D ) Unit 13: Applying Flow Process Analysis Complete work associated project as part of evidence. Undertake to complete project and Units in 12 week period. Attend 1 day overview training on BIT programme with Engineering Training Council. Attend 1 week in-house classroom training on Units Familiarise yourself with contents of each assessment Unit. Create project plan with completion timeframe to meet 12wk period. The Story so Far…… NVQ Level 3 Programme started February 2013. 70 candidates have successfully received NVQ Level 3 certification.
