  1. Business Law and Ethics Team Presentation Requirements-(Second Presentation) During this course we have discussed many topics. Your team will choose any ONE topic and build your presentation around that topic (except for the topic of whistleblowing since that was already covered in the first group presentation). The topics to choose from are: Privacy and Technology-chapter 3; Valuing Diversity (Discrimination)- chapter 4; Worker’s Rights as Human Rights (Health and Safety in the Workplace)-chapter 5; Marketing and Technology (Advertising)-chapter 7; Allocating Risk and Responsibilities (Product Liability)-chapter 8; and Ownership, Creativity and Innovation (Intellectual Property)-chapter 9. It cannot be on a topic already chosen by another team, therefore your topic must be pre-approved by the instructor. ALL CLASS MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL 3 DAYS OF PRESENTATIONS . The dates the presentations will be presented to the class are May 14, May 16 and May 17 th . The presentation doesn’t have to be about a certain legal case, although it can be if you desire. It will be a group Powerpoint presentation, 15-20 minutes in length (20 minute maximum, 15 minute minimum). BE CREATIVE!!! These topics can be very interesting if presented in a creative way. Have fun with it! Make SURE each person speaks for at least 2 slides. DO NOT JUST READ THE BULLET POINTS! Your audience can do that just fine. ADD to the points as you’re talking by using examples, videos, graphics etc….anything to illustrate the point. Here are the specific questions you are required to cover. If you leave anything out, points will be deducted. 1. What topic will you be talking about during your presentation? And why did you choose this topic as opposed to another? 2. Explain the incident related to the topic? When did it happen? Where? Who was involved? 3. What happened as a result of this incident/case? 4. Who were the stakeholders that could have been affected? Who were the stakeholders who actually were affected? 5. How specifically did this incident/case impact the public at large (if at all)?

  2. 6. What might happen in the future as a result of this incident/case? (Explain your reasoning). 7. Share with us your personal feelings about this incident/case. Was it fair? Unfair? Ethical? Unethical? Please tell us any and all ethical theories that played a part. 8. Could this incident/case affect people in other countries? How so? 9. Describe different ways this incident could have been prevented. 10. Have things changed since this incident/case occurred? How so? Each section of the 10 sections above is worth 10 points for a total of 100 points. In addition, you will receive an additional 20 points if each person on the team speaks for at least 2 slides and an additional 30 points beyond that for CREATIVITY, overall slide layout, organization, clarity, overall use of time and spelling/punctuation errors. Total points possible is 150. Each team member will be awarded the same grade. Grading Scale: 10 point sections Excellent rating 9-10 points Very good rating 6-8 points Fair rating 3-5 points Poor or incomplete rating <2 points Grading Scale: 20 point sections Excellent rating 16-20 points Very good rating 11-15 points Fair rating 6-10 points Poor or incomplete rating <5 Grading Scale: 30 point sections Excellent rating 23-30 points
