  3. 2015-16 Focus Areas and Accomplishments ● Led the Everyday Mathematics 4 (EM4) implementation ● Revised math report cards for K-5 aligned to EM4 and Common Core State Standards for Mathematics Evaluation and development of a cohesive math acceleration plan ● including a compacted Math 6/7 course ● Added a summer Pre-Algebra course Development of a K-5 and 6-8 Math Instructional Framework ● Supporting differentiated math support opportunities ●

  4. 2016-17 Focus Areas and Goals ● Improve core classroom instruction for all students: ○ Provide coaching and professional development with a focus on instructional strategies that promote equity and exemplify high expectations ○ Identify and further develop work related to the Common Core Math Practices Increase cross grade-level articulation with an initial focus on 5th to 6th ● grade transition ○ Develop a clearer understanding of what students know and can do at they enter 6th grade ○ Identify and/or develop tools that will provide feedback on these areas of learning

  5. 2016-17 Focus Areas and Goals ● Investigate combining the suite of Algebra offering (Algebra 8, Algebra Pilot, Algebra 1) into one Algebra course and the supports necessary for student success Continue to support Differentiated Math Learning Opportunities by ● studying specific interventions and enrichments to identify solutions that can be used to support struggling math students Support development and year 1 implementation of the Compacted Math ● 6/7 course and Math 6

Steps to Address Equity and Access to Accelerated Math Options Core Math Offerings ● Provide high quality daily math instruction that challenges all students to perform and grow at their highest level Clearly identify math supports that complement our existing math ● curriculums and connect students of need with these supports Specific Offerings: Investigate combining the suite of Algebra offerings (Algebra 8, Algebra ● Pilot, Algebra 1) into ONE Algebra course Investigate summer math opportunity for rising 5th/6th graders (below ● 40%tile)
