Needs Assessment & Core Valu lues ID ID • Robert Stein leads the exploration of UAA’s core values • Needs Assessment input gathered through survey instrument and self-study open-forums (early October through early November) • Needs Assessment will be grounded in core values, platforms of excellence, and gaps inhibiting further achievement • Input will be consolidated and made available 11/15
Goal l Develo lopment and Specification • UAA work units will transform Needs Assessment into SMART goals (11/16-11/30) • With direction from unit leaders and UAA 2020 team, UAA’s units will collectively develop and identify 10-12 priority SMART goals by 12/7
Goal l Sele lectio ion • University-wide meeting will be convened December 7-9 timeframe • Representatives of each unit will work to select 6 SMART goals from the larger set and to further develop the goals • 6 finalist goals will be made public with solicitation of input regarding ‘pros/cons’ of each • Chancellor’s Cabinet and FCCD convene before 1/10/17 to select the three goals constituting UAA 2020
Goals Implementation • Leadership appoints implementation planning team with guidance to operationalize based on project management principles • Plan and constituent project implementation teams are ready to go 5/1/2017 • Implementation teams are carefully selected based on knowledge, skills, resources and dispositions
