  1. Date: 30 June 2010 FIA GT1 Championship - Paul Ricard (F) - Presentation of Round 4 Paul Ricard for the Maserati MC12s Car N. 1 - Bartels/Bertolini, Vitaphone Racing Team Car N. 2 - Bernoldi/Ramos, Vitaphone Racing Team Car N. 33 - Bobbi/Longin, Triple H Team Hegersport Car N. 34 - Heger/Margaritis, Triple H Team Hegersport After Abu Dhabi, Great Britain and the Czech Republic, this weekend the FIA GT1 World Championship will be held in Le Castellet, France, in the Paul Ricard racetrack. The Maseratis will be present at this fourth round at the top of the Teams rankings. The Vitaphone Racing Team‘s Bartels/Bertolini, the only ones in the championship to have obtained points in all the races run up until now, is currently in second place in the Drivers’ rankings. There are new regulations impacting all four MC12s: The FIA Technical Commission has once again made changes to balance racecar performance by establishing the new minimum weight for Maseratis, raising it to 1255 kg (previously set at 1235). It is an 20 kg increase which will surely affect their performance. Ever since the eve of the Silverstone race and in the name of balance of performance, the Commission had tweaked the minimum weight, adding another 10

  2. kilos and allowing an increase in flange diameter. The Vitaphone Racing Team pairs up the Bartels/Bertolini reigning champions with the Bernoldi/Ramos duo. The other two Maserati MC12s are part of the Triple H Team Hegersport, driven by Bobbi/Longin and Heger/Margaritis, who are after important results following a season of traineeship, as the team is debuting in the category. The racing schedule on the French circuit of Le Castellet also includes a round of the GT4 European Cup. Of the three participating Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4s, two will be wearing the colors of the Monaco team JMB, while Maserati Corse will provide Alessandro Pier Guidi the third GT4. Pier Guidi is a FIA GT driver who in the past has driven MC12s belonging to Playteam and Vitaphone Racing Team, and who drove a Kessel Racing car in the first Trofeo Maserati.
