TREEPICKER - RECYCLED WOOD. BIRDHOUSES. TREE-PLANTING Treepicker was initiated by two design studios Quattro Creative and Studio delle Alpi , both based in Luxembourg, who met by chance in Italy during a conference. It was short after the “Vaia” storm that caused considerable damages to the North-East Italian forests. About eight million cubic meters of wood were knocked down. Through our common passion for design and commitment to climate change, we had the idea to develop sustainable and functional products reinvesting part of our profjts by replanting deforested areas. This is how Treepicker started, a brand that aims to replant new trees in affected areas of the planet. Treepicker, an eco-responsible project. IDEAS HAPPEN.

TREE-PLANTING OUR CAUSE Each year, due to natural disasters such as frost, fmoods, storms or fjres, thousands of trees remain on the ground, broken from their roots and left to an inevitable deterioration. These events have multiple negative effects on every day life. IDEAS HAPPEN.

TREEPICKER - RECYCLED WOOD. BIRDHOUSES. TREE-PLANTING Trees are the souls, lungs and fjlters of our ecosystem. Forests are home to countless animal species, from birds to predators, from insects to equatorial monkeys. Safeguarding forests means keeping biodiversity alive. We must also bear in mind the fact that plants make it possible to dispose of CO2 and create the oxygen that keeps us alive. IDEAS HAPPEN.

TREE-PLANTING Another element is undoubtedly the territorial economy: Because of unexpected falls, some parts of the world are experiencing a waste of raw materials to be disposed of. This leads to a drastic fall in the price of timber, which has brought the economy of the affected areas to its knees more than once. IDEAS HAPPEN.

TREE-PLANTING The most striking example of the last few years, the event that gave us the idea and that gave rise to the Treepicker project, was undoubtedly the “Vaia” storm of 2018 in Italy. The following regions of Italy, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia and, in part, Lombardy, were hit by a wave of bad weather, leaving three people dead, several wounded and 8.6 million cubic meters of trees on the ground. One of the most damaged areas (about 700 hectares) is the Val Visdende in Belluno, where between 250,000 and 300,000 cubic meters of trees fell. The wood on the ground is in danger of rotting and becoming unusable, and being sold at prices 10 times below their value, which has also put local businesses in a major crisis. IDEAS HAPPEN.
TREEPICKER - RECYCLED WOOD. BIRDHOUSES. TREE-PLANTING Climate change concerns everyone and has an impact everywhere and we want to help. Imagine how many animals, like birds, lost their homes. Treepicker decided to help them by designing and selling a series of contemporary, stylish and eco-friendly products. For each product sold, Treepicker will undertake to replant trees in the affected areas. This reforestation will help maintain the ecosystem of the local fauna and fmora. IDEAS HAPPEN.

TREEPICKER - RECYCLED WOOD. BIRDHOUSES. TREE-PLANTING Short after the “Vaia” storm, that caused considerable damages to the Italian forests, we could not stop thinking about all the countless animal species who lost their homes. This is the reason why we chose to sell birdhouses as our fjrst symbolic kickstarter product. The fjrst house is inspired by the Bauhaus to celebrate its anniversary. The second birdhouse is the Cabin model, inspired by the modernism. The tilted roof is water friendly and perfect for rainy regions. The very original A-frame model, is a design product inspired by classic wooden cabins from northern regions with lots of snow and rain. All of them are studied according to the ISO rules to make them accessible to birds. IDEAS HAPPEN.

TREEPICKER - RECYCLED WOOD. BIRDHOUSES. TREE-PLANTING IMPACT Removing CO2 Each tree removes 7 tons of Carbon Dioxide, 5 billion trees/ year are needed to account current emission levels. Planting a tree means absorbing CO2 and reducing the greenhouse effect and soil erosion. Safeguarding forests means keeping biodiversity alive. Recycled wood Wood is an important resource, which is why fallen trees need to be reused before rottening. Local producers We want to encourage and fund local carpenters from the affected areas who only recycle the wood from the fallen trees that absolutely must be disposed of. Our packagings are carefully produced by Agendo, a non-profjt organization that works with people with Down syndrome, always from the same region. IDEAS HAPPEN.

The main purpose of our Kickstarter campaign is to raise funds to launch our project and use part of our profjts for the reforestation of areas affected by the “Vaia” storm.
