2017-18 Accomplishments ➔ Parks and City Building Recycling programs ➔ New, efficient drinking fountains with Bottle filling stations ➔ Recycling of motor oil, batteries, solvents, scrap metal ➔ Energy efficient lighting conversions (savings of 112,872,976 watts) ➔ New City Resolution which encourages City Employees and elected officials to strive to reduce the environmental footprint of our activities ➔ City and Parks Master Plans with specific non- motorized transportation infrastructure approved ➔ Commitment to the elimination of any illicit discharges into the storm water system or surface waters. Two City Staff members are certified Storm Water Operators and two are Floodplain Managers ➔ Tree Planting Program (50 trees 2017 - 18)
