Alternate #10 - $202,000 Special Soil Prep at Native Seed Areas Alternate: Scrape off and dispose of top 3” of soil from all areas designated to receive native seed that are not being disturbed by grading activities. Spread 3” of compost over extent of area and incorporate to a depth of 6” by tilling. For all areas to receive native seed that are being disturbed by grading, do not install stockpiled topsoil, instead establish finish grade using subgrade material with 3” of compost tilled into the top 6”.
