New Endeavor: Food Waste Composting � Winter 2009 SWAB presentation regarding Wal-Mart/Sam’s nationwide initiative to compost all their organic waste � City Ordinance prohibits hauling of “garbage” other than by city collection crews Sec. 22-165. - Unauthorized hauling of garbage. a)It shall be unlawful for any person, other than an agent of the city, to haul, convey, carry or transport any garbage (defined food wastes) from any location within the city. (b)Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a), any generator of garbage that had been hauling its own garbage with the written permission of the director before April 7, 2003, shall be allowed to continue hauling its own garbage from its point of origin to a properly licensed disposal site.
