Big task: manufacture and test coax cable assemblies (and conduct a laboratory experiment)  34 environmentally sealed coaxial cable assemblies (1,100 feet) were manufactured, and then…  Joined together and lab-tested as a single coax run by VE1ZAC  Losses/100 feet were measured; found to be lower (i.e., better) than mfr’s specifications  Characteristic impedance well within quoted tolerances  Losses in barrel and PL-259 connectors verified to be negligible.
