Big task: manufacture and test coax cable assemblies (and conduct a laboratory experiment) 34 environmentally sealed coaxial cable assemblies (1,100 feet) were manufactured, and then… Joined together and lab-tested as a single coax run by VE1ZAC Losses/100 feet were measured; found to be lower (i.e., better) than mfr’s specifications Characteristic impedance well within quoted tolerances Losses in barrel and PL-259 connectors verified to be negligible.
