BWG official plan review Previous efforts  official plan reviews must occur every five years  previous BWG review commenced in 2005  completed transportation update and solidified employment land supply  suspended due to IGAP and County GMR  Simcoe County’s new OP adopted in November 2008; appealed to OMB  BWG review re-launched in 2010; suspended due to uncertainties around SCOP S TATUTORY P UBLIC O PEN H OUSE – J UNE 3, 2014

BWG official plan review Town moves forward  council considered staff report on March 4, 2014  report acknowledged that a full BWG official plan review should await the approval of the SCOP (mid 2015?)  also acknowledged that key updates to the town’s plan can’t wait that long:  Hwy 400 employment lands  downtown revitalization  population & employment growth targets  council directed staff to proceed with phase 1 of OP review S TATUTORY P UBLIC O PEN H OUSE – J UNE 3, 2014

BWG official plan review Hwy 400 employment lands  OPA 15 approved in August 2009  CPR completed in 2010 – recommends restrictions on total and individual floor areas as well as date of operation  Growth Plan Amendment #1 – 2012  sets out policies for “BWG Strategic Settlement Employment Area”, including uses, floor areas, minimum parcel sizes, and boundaries  staff will also prepare zoning by-law amendments S TATUTORY P UBLIC O PEN H OUSE – J UNE 3, 2014

BWG official plan review Growth targets  current OP features population target of 47,800 by Y2026  Growth Plan target for BWG is 50,500 people and 18,000 jobs by Y2031  +2,700 people to be distributed among the five new neighbourhoods in Bradford and within “built boundary”  +9,000 jobs distributed to Hwy 400 employment lands and Bradford commercial/employment lands S TATUTORY P UBLIC O PEN H OUSE – J UNE 3, 2014
