Converting policy into action Context BUILD UP, an initiative funded under the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE) IEE is an EU support programme promoting increased energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources by overcoming the non-technological barriers (legal, financial, institutional, cultural, social barriers) Means of action Means of Action � IEE2: € 730 million from 2007-13 � One call every year: � Projects – ~ 7-8 partners – 3 year maximum duration – Total budget ~ € 1,000,000 – IEE supports up to 75% of eligible costs No hardware or R&D costs – � Tenders � Concerted Actions
