INTRO RO – BROWNF NFIEL IELD D DE DEVE VELOPM PMEN ENT No common definition on brownfield adopted Brownfield is real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant (US EPA, 2011) Brownfield' land is an area of land or premises that has been previously used, but has subsequently become vacant, derelict or contaminated.   19. CO CONCL CLUSI USION ON o Development of brownfield projects via PPP is fairly new to Malaysia.
