What is Bank Wakaf Mikro (BWM)? Role of OJK in Establishment of BWM In order to support government programs in alleviating poverty and income inequality, and to increase fjnancial access to wider community, OJK facilitates the establishment of Bank Wakaf Mikro. Since 2014, OJK has also been mandated by the Law of Microfjnance to supervise microfjnance institutions, including BWM, in Indonesia “We would like to give special attention to the low income population who cannot obtain formal loans or qualify for fjnancing from formal fjnancial institutions. It is our hope that Bank Wakaf Mikro will be able to provide fjnancing in the near future and also form groups consisting 5 to 10 people to Chairman of the Board of Commissioners OJK, help us provide coaching programs.. “ Wimboh Santoso 5
