Anniston’s Fatherhood Initiative “Fathers working hand in hand with their children and the community.”
Who We Are & What We Do! We are a group of men who live in Anniston. We are committed to making a positive impact on men and their children. As a result of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) National Fatherhood Initiative, the Anniston Housing Authority hosted its first Fatherhood Brunch in June 2013 with approximately 55 fathers and their children in attendance. The 2014 and 2015 Brunches doubled in attendance with an overwhelming response and great support! The Anniston Housing Authority sees the Fatherhood Initiative much larger than the Housing Authority, and should be embraced and supported by the larger community, thus, we are now called: Anniston’s Fatherhood Initiative!
Our Vision To create the opportunity for Fathers and/or Men to have a positive impact on Children and the Community in which they live. Our Core Focus Areas Education/Self ‐ Awareness Communication Relationships Financial Issues
