Safety and compliance • We have had two recordable injuries since the last meeting – False widow spider bite – Slip in wet conditions • No environmental events
Management of Bradwell • Bradwell is now in the Care and Maintenance (C&M) phase - a year earlier than planned • First time a UK commercial reactor site has moved into C&M • Extensive handover programme completed with Sizewell A - now managing the site following regulatory approval • On-going site inspections and ILW being received from Dungeness A
Plant and Structures Programme update • Removal and demolition of the National Grid substation building - – Hazard removal commenced (asbestos and redundant equipment) – Demolition expected to start in April 2019 4
Ponds Programme update • Successful removal of temporary shielded storage container (TSSC) • Completed ILW skip basket removal • Retrieval of intermediate level waste and low level waste skips from the pond now commenced
Asset Care Projects • Asbestos management continues on site – before and after • Cladding repairs continue on the reactor buildings 6
