Organisation Statutory forum for engagement on any matter concerning the Gatwick Consultative management of the airport which affects: users, local authorities Committee and other local stakeholders. (GATCOM) Develop, agree, oversee and maintain a coordinated Noise Management noise management vision and strategy on behalf of Board (NMB) stakeholder organisations. The main aim of this work is to reduce the impact of noise on the local community. Discusses a wide range of noise and track-keeping Noise and Track Keeping issues; monitors airspace, complaint handling, Monitoring Advisory noise and track-keeping performance, night engine Group (NATMAG) testing and ground noise complaints. Drives and monitors the NMB actions and NMB NMB Workplan Implementation Workplan activities coordinating activity across various Steering Group stakeholders and fora. 5

  8. Technology The next generation of aircraft now entering service will represent a step change in performance The new Airbus “ neos ” are approximately 5dB quieter on departure and 3dB quieter on approach than the older types they typically replace Current A320 (CFM) (black line) vs A320 neo (red line) Sound Exposure Level (SEL) footprint 8
