Flood Response and Gaps
Health interventions to ensure to minimize the impact of floods on the affected people • Make sure that nearby health facilities in the affected district/ area are functional at the maximum capacity and accessible by all affected people • Deploy Mobile Teams / Clinics in response to major internal displacement in the most affected districts to provide health care services • Strengthen disease surveillance systems for water and Vector-Borne Diseases. • Strengthen Primary Health Care Services including routine immunization to prevent the outbreak of vaccine preventable diseases, the management of Non- Communicable Diseases, Disabilities, Mental Health, through the provision of Essential Medicines & Supplies for flood response including diarrheal disease kits, Malaria Medications • Ensure continuation of life-saving services including the ‘ Minimum Service Package (MSP) including Reproductive Health to prevent maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity
