Metro Mayors Climate Preparedness Taskforce • May 2015: Metro Mayors Coalition convened to sign a Climate Preparedness Commitment. • November 2016: The Coalition convened to reflect on preparedness activities of the past year, announce their strategic priorities for 2017, and sign a Climate Mitigation Commitment. 9

Adaptation Across the Region 1. Provide technical assistance to local governments on climate adaptation and preparedness planning. 2. Coordinate sub-regional climate coalitions and collaboratives. 3. Capacity building and knowledge sharing through webinars, trainings, mini-grants, etc… 4. Provide regional climate projections/data , including mapping impacts and social vulnerabilities. 5. Advance and advocate for state policies and programs for climate resilience and mitigation.
