M A J O R B AT T L E S / WA R S • Hastings- Fought in October of 1066 between the Norman- French army and an English army • Badon- Also called the battle of Badon hill, is a battle that happened between Britons and Anglo-Saxons in the late 5th or early 6th century • Catraeth- Fought in 600 A.D. Between the people of Old North Britain, and angles of Bernicia and Deira • Edington- Fought in 878 A.D. an Anglo-saxon army beat by the Great Heathen Army
