  8. 1.2 PRODUCTS SATELLITES 2014: Rosetta’s Philae probe made the first-ever landing on a comet when it touched down on Comet 67P/Churyumov – Gerasimenko. Between the main players, two member companies of the Cluster: → Selex-ES : developer of drill space and Rosetta’s solar panels, the largest ever built for a scientific mission. → Politecnico di Milano : developer of SD2 drill mounted on Philae lander. → Thales Alenia Space Italy : responsible for spacecraft assembly, integration and testing (AIT) of the probe. LISA pathfinder inertial sensor was delivered to CGS- Compagnia Generale per lo Spazio in Milano. LISA is a crucial experiment which will enable scientists to detect gravitational waves in space.
