Methodology Survey administration: February of 2016  Sampling strategy: schools were selected to generate  statistically representative state-level and county-level estimates  Students surveyed in all 67 Florida counties Final sample size was 65,776 across grades 6 through  12 The margin of error is less than 1.0 percentage point  for M.S. and H.S. prevalence rates 3

  4. Survey Validation 3,391 respondents (4.9%) identified and eliminated by one or more of five validation tests:  ATOD exaggeration—1,085  Antisocial behavior exaggeration—500  Inconsistency—1,249  Fictitious drug—1,756  No response for more than 75% of the survey questions—1,100 4
