IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY DOES NOT MAKE ORAL SUBMISSIONS AT THE PUBLIC MEETING, OR MAKE WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS TO THE CITY OF OTTAWA IN RESPECT OF THE PROPOSED PLAN OF SUBDIVISION BEFORE THE CITY OF OTTAWA GIVES OR REFUSES TO GIVE APPROVAL TO THE DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION, THE PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY IS NOT ENTITLED TO APPEAL THE DECISION OF THE CITY OF OTTAWA TO THE LOCAL PLANNING APPEAL TRIBUNAL. What is a Plan of Subdivision OPENING APPLICATIONS CONTEXT POLICY PROPOSAL STATUS & STEPS COMMENTING  Divides the parcel into lots & blocks for development, together with new streets, park blocks and walkway blocks  Draft Approval establishes the general layout of the subdivision and sets conditions that the developer must fulfill (e.g. detailed landscape and engineering plans, financial requirements, and legal agreements) 9

  14. Kanata North Statutory Public Meeting • Minto submitted our Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning Amendment Applications on December 11th, 2018. • The City of Ottawa suggested a joint public meeting be held in conjunction with Claridge / Uniform’s Development Application for the convenience of the neighbourhood. • This meeting is the Statutory Public Meeting under the Planning Act.

  16. Community Design Plan • The Kanata North Expansion Lands were brought into the urban boundary in 2013. Council Approved the Community Design Plan (CDP) in 2016. • The Community Design Plan covers approximately 181 ha. The approved CDP envisions approximately 3,000 dwelling units and 8,000 residents • There are presently 5 landowners making up the Kanata North Landowners Group (KNLG) • The Owners Group is responsible for implementing the CDP through their respective Draft Plan of Subdivision Applications and Re- zoning Applications • Minto’s Draft Plan of Subdivision is approximately 25% of the expansion lands

Proposed Road Network • March Road is a 44.5m wide ultimate arterial corridor and will have a future signalized entrance into the community • The future east- west road into Minto’s community has 26.0 m right-of-way (ROW) through the proposed future commercial lands . This intersection will be signalized per the CDP. • This collector road changes direction to the north with a future extension into Valecraft’s property. • The CDP identifies that the abandoned CN Rail Corridor may be purchased by the City of Ottawa and may be used by the public in the future.
