  8. Business Challenges for the Grower How do I? • Manage Land Usage • Identify origin and characteristics of land used in growing crops • Keep up with changing harvest estimates • Gain visibility into profitability by crop • Track Farming Operations • Identify what farming practices yielded the best results • Monitor quality and take immediate corrective actions • Schedule harvesting activities for consistent supply • Maintain Food Safety • Streamline reporting pesticide usage • Provide field-to-store traceability • Preserve brand investment 8

  9. Grower Management Overview Block Management • Track numerous block attributes • Develop crop estimates for supply planning • Manage intended use of the crop • Utilize mass updating capabilities to reduce administration Farming Activities Weigh Tag Receipt • Plan farming activities • Plan receiving activity • Track actual farming activities performed • Record quality results against receipt • Tracked operational costs at the block level • Over-receive • Record chemical usage for spray operations • Receive child items 9

  10. Solution Benefits Increase Product Improve yields through successful farming processes. Track quality Quality, Yield, & throughout the growing cycle. Consistency Support compliance with food safety Maintain regulations. Field-to-Store traceability Food Safety within a single system of record. Visibility into crop costs. Automate Reduce payments processing to growers. Costs Reduce cost via built-in integration. 10

  12. Harvest Management Overview Block Harvest Farm • Define by physical or • Create for a single • Define by physical geographical instance of a crop boundaries or crop grown on a block boundaries • Maintain grower • Maintain grower • Use to track operations attributes performed against the attributes • Consist of one or more crop, materials • Consist of one or more harvests required, anticipated blocks yield, and accumulated • Populate information on • Populate information on costs associated harvests associated blocks • Associate to a block • Associate to a farm • Optional 12

  14. Grower Harvest Record - Detail Key contacts and actions for End Use Reservation specific harvest (EUR) based on fixed amount or percentage 14

  15. Harvest Workbench • Harvest Workbench is a single entry point to manage harvest information • Enter harvest estimates • Mass update estimates • Review operation history • Update harvest attributes • Update action dates • View weigh tags • Print scheduled harvest details 15

  17. <Insert Picture Here> Farming Activities Definition  Spray Operation  Harvest Operation 17

  18. Farming Operations • Farming operations are activities performed against a crop or harvest record • Use to plan and execute work • Accumulate costs based on operation details • Examples • Cultivating, planting, pruning, and irrigating • Inspecting (perform quality tests) • Spraying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer • Harvesting, cutting, and picking mature crops • Receiving harvested crop into inventory 18

  19. Spray Operation Multiple harvests per operation 19

  20. Spray Operation continued 20

  21. Harvest Operations • A HARVEST operation is a farming activity to cut or pick the crop. • When you close the first HARVEST operation, the system creates a purchase order for the entire estimated quantity on the harvest record. • If you skip the HARVEST operation, the system creates a purchase order for the entire estimated quantity during the WEIGH TAG operation. 21

  22. <Insert Picture Here> Weight Tag Receipts Definition  Receipt Operation  Details 22

  23. Weigh Tags • A Weigh Tag operation is a farming activity to receive the crop into the system. • Create a purchase order for the entire estimated quantity during the first receipt (if you do not use Harvest operations). • Receive each weigh tag quantity on the associated purchase order and update inventory. • Enter multiple weigh tag receipts for each harvest. • Enter quality test results for each receipt. • Receive more than the estimated quantity on the purchase order. • Indicate the last receipt to close the weigh tag operation. 23

  24. Weigh Tag Receipt Operation Attach quality test results to the receipt 24

  25. Weigh Tag Details • Start and End Dates • Purchase Order Number • Truck and Bin Information • Vehicle, Driver, and Carrier Information • Block • Harvest Type • Item and Lot 25
