  3. At The Beach Of The Red Sea  The account of Moses leading the Israelites through the Red Sea was recorded under inspiration with great detail. It would do us well to take this opportunity to search for truth in this extremely interesting account from the testimony of Moses.  Will this event show that Dawn starts the day or will it show that Sunset is the beginning of every new cycle?  Our investigation into the timing of events begins at the beach of the Red Sea … 3

  4. Exodus 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them, and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.  If the Israelites observed the Egyptians a distance off it was obviously during the Light Season. Be attentive to the next words of Moses! 4

  5. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you TODAY: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen TODAY, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 5

  6. Remember: The word <yowm> is the original word for “today” and can mean 12 hours or 24 hours depending on the context. The Light Season of the day, (or the last part of the 24 hour cycle in <Yowm> OT:3117 Sunset Theory), was the time that God’s people identified the Egyptians as pursuing them. According to Sunset Theory: Moses has a deadline to meet if the new day begins AT SUNSET . 6

  7. The Israelites must be free of the Egyptians that were following them today, just as Moses had promised. 7

  8. Eventually, the Angel of the LORD, relocated from the front of the camp to the back of the camp providing the necessary protection and light during God’s “TODAY HOURS” of Salvation AS GIVEN BY Moses. Here is what we read in Exodus 14:19-20. 8

  9. 19 Next, the angel of God, who was going ahead of the camp of Israel, moved away and went behind them; and the column of cloud moved away from in front of them and stood behind them. 20 It stationed itself between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel — there was cloud and darkness here, but light by night there; so that the one did not come near the other all night long. Jewish Complete Bible 9

  10.  Verses 19 & 20 revealed the details for the Light Season and the following Night Season that provided protection through a cloud of light for the Israelites. God arranged and provided a life-saving event for the Israelites during the Night Season segment of the “ TODAY hours .” Moses claimed there would be a divine demonstration and deliverance at the exact time specified .  However, sunset came and went and their salvation was not yet complete . Yet , according to Sunset Theory, “today” is completed once the sun sets! At that sunset juncture, the new 24 hour cycle is supposed to begin. 10

  11.  But … God’s salvation of “today” started with the Light Season and continued seamlessly all through the following Night Season. The promise spoken by Moses for the “today” deliverance was unfolding in miraculous wonder!  “ Today ” (Ex 14:13) evidently did not end at sunset during the hours of this incredible event.  But … Salvation was forthcoming within one 24 hour cycle. 11

  12. Exodus 14:21-23 21 Moshe reached his hand out over the sea, and Adonai caused the sea to go back before a strong east wind all night. He made the sea become dry land, and its water was divided in two. 22 Then the people of Israel went into the sea on the dry ground, with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left. 23 The Egyptians continued their pursuit, going after them into the sea - all Pharaoh's horses, chariots and cavalry. Jewish Complete Bible 12

  13. Exodus 14:24-25 24 Just before dawn, [in the morning watch – KJV] Adonai looked out on the Egyptian army through the column of fire and cloud and threw them into a panic. 25 He caused the wheels of their chariots to break off, so that they could move only with difficulty. The Egyptians said, "Adonai is fighting for Israel against the Egyptians! Let's get away from them!" Jewish Complete Bible 13

  14. This took place “just before dawn,” meaning within the 24 hour cycle Moses had promised. (DAWN always ushers in the next new day.) 14

  15. Ex 14:26 Adonai said to Moshe, "Reach your hand out over the sea, and the water will return and cover the Egyptians with their chariots and cavalry. ” Jewish Complete Bible 15

  16. Ex 14:27 “Moshe reached his hand out over the sea, and by dawn the sea had returned to its former depth. The Egyptians tried to flee, but Adonai swept them into the sea .” Jewish Complete Bible 16

  17. 28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them . 29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. KJV 17

  18. 30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. KJV All of the events (that occurred from the Light Season of promise, spoken by Moses, until the moments just before the new day dawns in the Morning, ) unfolded within God's time for the “TODAY” timeframe that started with the conversation between Moses and God. Sunset did NOT usher in the next new day! 18

  19. The promise from God was: He would literally demonstrate to the Hebrew people His physical salvation. I believe the Hebrews were able to visually see: The Angel of the LORD relocating to the rear of the camp in 1. the Light Season. Moses stretching out his arm to command the east wind. 2. The strong wind dividing the waters. 3. The miraculous corridor being exposed, drying a path across 4. the Red Sea. The towering walls of water on either side, while hurrying to 5. the other shore, during the Night Season with light from the cloud. The sea water crashing together, enveloping the doomed 6. Egyptians by the morning of the next day. 7. God did indeed show His salvation to the terrified Hebrews on “ that TODAY ” which also included “ THAT NIGHT !” 19

  20. Exodus 14: Sunset Format Chart #1 Let’s look at an expanded chart to see if all the events fit into one 24 hour day/cycle. 20

  21. Exodus 14: Sunset Format Chart #2 Does there seem to be a bit of confusion on this Sunset chart? 21

  22. Exodus 14: Dawn Format Chart The final act of Salvation for the Hebrew people was displayed just before Dawn! Check for the Forward Progressive Movement of events? Perfect?! 22

  23. Question Time For Exodus 14 On the first day of creation, the day began somewhere. That’s an absolute! The Bible Testimonies that we are studying stay true to the original Divine Design of when the day began during creation week. We serve a Creator that does not change and cannot lie. (Mal 3:6; Titus 1:2.) Therefore, the testimonies through His patriarchs must align with His original command. These Bible testimonies may be much more important than we ever realized. 23
