Jail In-Reach Service Outcomes 2013 & 2014 During the calendar years 2013 & 2014 the present Jail In-Reach contractor assessed and screened 4,504 AB109 inmates (or approximately 1.7% of the total jail population). The contractor successfully enrolled 2,853 of the inmates assessed into present Jail In-Reach programs (approximately 1% of the total jail population). Over the last two calendar years 45% of the inmates who were placed into an Alternative To Custody (ATC) program (electronic ankle monitoring), on a pre-release basis, stayed in the program after their release from custody. Historically, approximately 85% of the inmates who participated in the ATC program successfully completed their case plans, and achieved 756 individual treatment milestones. 70% of the inmates who participated in a post-release program completed their case plans as well, and achieved 936 individual treatment milestones. The yearly budget for the Jail In-Reach contract is $350,000. With $175,000 from the Counties general funds and $175,000 from the Inmate Welfare Commission fund. 2
The Community Re-entry & Resource Center In May 2014, LASD created the Community Re-Entry & Resource Center (CRRC) in the lobby of the Inmate Reception Center. The CRRC delivers direct support for newly released inmates, their families, and/or their support system members.
