A declaration to the Government of Saskatchewan is made for assistance. The Red Cross will then deliver assistance on behalf of the government. 1

RECOVERY Who we helped last year • 135 families assisted after experiencing a personal disaster, including house fires • one family assisted every 2.7 days • 2,000 people affected by flooding and forest fires • 95 community projects received a total of over $200,000 to help communities recover from 2011 flooding through the Red Cross Community Projects Program • 400 volunteers trained to respond to disasters in Saskatchewan 14 WE WANT TO WORK WITH YOU BEFORE A DISASTER HAPPENS 15 5
