Allotments don’t have an address • No definitive addressing or naming system for allotments , or many other greenspaces . Managed my many different bodies. • But these resources are part of national and local targets . • In order to monitor these we need baselines

Scottish Allotments and Garden Society SAGS OS • 274 sites • 268 sites • Addresses… but for • Geometry… polygons! • Six monthly release, where • Some grid references • Data model that allows • Quality issues i.e. updates. • pen duplicates, sites that no • Limited ‘distinctive longer exist, etc • Impossible task to name’ attributes maintain.
Comparison • 197 sites match up. • OS can improve data quality by checking for missing sites and adding distinctive names. • SAGS can start using the OS product. • CSGN gets baselines for monitoring targets!
